SUMMER NIGHT RUN IN NEUSS
Lovers of running have been gathering together early in the summer in Neuss since the 1980s. They jog a distance of a few hundred metres to several kilometres. The course is laid out across the city and participants run either three loops for the five kilometres or six loops for the ten kilometres race.
Starting at four in the afternoon and ending after the last race late in the evening, the event has proven highly popular with some four thousand runners taking part. The races vary from four hundred metres for child and parent combos through one kilometre for school children to the longer distances for adults of all ages.
The event is watched by thousands of spectators and sponsored well by local and regional partners. Media coverage of this great happening is guaranteed and, regardless of which side of the fence anyone may be, fun is had by all. Especially the winners.

Happenings can vary from celebrations to mark an opening or anniversary to a market or a one off concert. The community is quick to pick up on such events, creating gatherings large and small.
Art venues and museums in and around Neuss regularly present selections of their fine pieces in well presented exhibitions. They often exhibit fascinating and rare works from across the globe with exhibitions of loaned works of art.
Head to the movies
