Corporations in Neuss

© DeiaGreg/Amazing Capitals

Corporations are attracted to Neuss for a number of reasons. The city has a strong economy and, as an American Consulate General once said, “Punches way above its weight.”

Whilst relatively compact, Neuss also functions as a hub for the larger, more rural county that surrounds it known as Rhein-Kreis Neuss. Furthermore, it is located in very close vicinity to Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine Westphalia. The state of NRW is the most populous region in Germany, offering a vast marketplace of some eighteen million residents.

These factors alone enable local businesses to perform well. The city has also inspired companies from a wide selection of sectors and countries to settle here.

Many companies cite a lack of qualified personnel. Unfortunately some still tend to refuse to employ staff that are unable to communicate proficiently in German.

That said, HR and company leaders surely realise how quickly the language can be learned. And expats often may need to show their ability to achieve a proficient level of communication relative quickly.

The region is without doubt a popular expat destination for international talent where opportunities can be found in many fields of business and careers.
