The most important institution in Neuss is the Clemens Sels Museum, which is quite a marvellous if architecturally somewhat challenged place. Much of their magnificent art collection reflects the history of the location as well its people and traditions.

A curiosity in Neuss is the Schützenmuseum. The annual festival touches lives in all areas, businesses and the core of society. Finally, the city archive is also open to the public.
