Neuss is a compact place to navigate. The centre itself consists of a few crisscrossing streets and manageable distances. Cycling is also a viable option. The main commercial and office districts are a few kilometres away. Public transport and taxis abound.
Getting to and from the city is fairly easy too. Trains depart from Neuss railway station to interconnect in neighbouring Düsseldorf, as do the trams.
Düsseldorf International airport can be reached in less than half an hour. Other airports in Weeze, Dortmund and Cologne offer alternative destinations and are much further away.
English language movies are fortunately to be found in Neuss. Expats can view films from time to time in two cinemas. Screenings are occasionally in OV, original version or original with subtitles, OmU.
