DRIVER LICENSE IN NEUSS
When driving for an extended period in Germany it is necessary to convert a foreign driver’s license to a local German version, Führerschein, within the first six months following. Following that time, the original license is no longer valid and driving not permitted. It is possible but not recommended to convert a license for up to three years following commencement of residency.
During that time, however, the process can become more involved even leading to the need to sit a new driving test. This system operates for licenses issued in most countries, though exemptions do exist.

Trams run through the centre of Neuss, connecting to the overground and underground system. Modern and clean local buses run across a widespread network.
English language movies are fortunately to be found in Neuss. Expats can view films from time to time in two cinemas. Screenings are occasionally in OV, original version or original with subtitles, OmU.
